Hardware and software I use daily

Stuff I Use

  • My main PC which is called Hades is running NixOS, I distro hopped for a while but eventually settled on NixOS just for conveniance. It's main selling point to me was the fact I can buy any new machine and within 10 minutes get my exact setup and all my configs on a brand new machine with no hassle

  • The main laptop I use is a M3 Pro Macbook called Dionysus, I have this setup with nix-darwin so most of my configs from my main PC Hades can be brought over easily. The main reason why I chose a Macbook was simply for the Sillicon, it's battery life and performance were the main selling points when comparing it to other laptops.

  • I have several other older macbooks which I tinker with, a few of them are running NixOS such as my M1 Pro called Erebus, I don't use these too much except for tinkering with.

Other Hardware

  • For my keyboard I alternate between Logitech MX Keys and a few custom built mechnical keyboards, I have a few hand built cherry red mx boards which I switch between.

  • I only have 1 mouse which is the Logitech MX Master 3s, I used to switch between multiple mice but once I bought the MX Master, I haven't found a mouse I find as comfortable since so I've just stuck with this one.
